Our approach
Our program is nature-based and child-led. Children spend most of the day outside, learning through play, hands-on experiences, and strong relationships.

“Childhood shouldn't be rushed.”
Melanie Guiod, Owner & Director
Children learn to care for themselves, each other, and the world around them.
Teachers model kindness, empathy, and patience, so children learn to show it too.
Children try, stumble, and try again, building confidence at their own pace.
Open-ended play and natural materials give children room to imagine, build, and create.
Woods and trails next door
It's a rare find this close to the city: wooded trails just steps from our doors. Children spend most of their day outside in every season, coming in for snacks, lunch, and rest.

Child-led, teacher-guided
Teachers plan around what children are excited about, then add the right challenge. Every day includes stories, music, movement, and art, both outside and in bright, cozy classrooms filled with hand-painted murals, books, puzzles, and games.

Tracking their growth
Our curriculum and assessments follow the Maine Early Learning and Development Standards.
